Dress:UP

This event is part of a project created by seven students from the Arts University College at Bournemouth which aims to positively raise awareness of sustainable fashion through the concept of 'upcycling'.

The group's mission is clear: Encourage young women to make more ethical decisions when it comes to what they wear.

'The event will include a talk from upcycling pioneer and ambassadress Julia Roebuck (MA Fashion and the Environment, London College of Fashion), a chance to talk to the designers and ask them about their experiences with sustainable fashion and of course the main event - the fashion show - which will include work from students at the Arts University College and friends of Dress:UP, whose work will be judged by a panel of experts and one very lucky designer will win a CXL301 sewing machine provided by Janome!'
